Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with care, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. As well as her role as anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and also for Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. Alongside co-hosting the Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
